Give it a rest...

Who thinks up obnoxious TV ads? You know the ones I mean. Those insufferable ads with the most annoying, repetitive voices, music(?), and messages that insult the intelligence of a five-year old. The ones that kick your brain into the "warning, danger ahead" mode and send goosebumps up your spine like fingernails on a blackboard. Where do they find these morons? Is there a contest to see who can be the most annoying and get extra points on the repulsive scale? And why, why, why must they raise the decibel level high enough to rouse the dead on commercials?

I don't know anyone in their right mind who would buy any of the products advertised in these guaranteed to piss you off campaigns. Certainly not this gal. I've developed a too-long list of ads that I simply will not allow on MY TV, using MY electricity, and assaulting MY delicate sensibilities. That dude in the "For Eyes" ads? I wanna drown the sucker - plain and simple. The stupid audio on the "Vonage" and "Six Flags" ads? Enough already - I heard you the first 10,000 times! And don't even get me started on automobile ads. Those sadists need to be locked in said cars for 48 hours with their ads blasting non-stop through their eardrums - in wrap-around stereo.

Thank God for remote controls and mute buttons - mine are getting worn out - but somebody needs to invent a way to not let these people in my house to begin with!
