Fun & Games...

So, the boys and their Poppaw are off to our town's annual 4th of July Carnival. The boys were a bit disappointed that I didn't go along, but I don't fare so well in the heat, and it's a little stifling out there, so I decided to hang around at home until it's time for the fireworks. Then we'll all go up and watch those together.

We'll get to see plenty of pyrotechnics this week. The carnival is having two displays, one tonight and another on Friday, and then nearby Frederick is having their display tomorrow night.

Maybe that will satisfy my hands-on grandsons who are used to legal fireworks in SC. They think Maryland is decidedly out of touch and old-fashioned because they're illegal here. This ol' grandma, however, will feel a lot better knowing they'll have all their fingers, hands, and eyeballs intact this July 4th!
