And the rocket's red glare...

Well, a different kind of rocket and glare, but red nonetheless, along with a skyful of blues and whites and greens and golds. A spectacular display of color and design, and I love the accompanying ka-BOOM! that reverberates through the night air and rattles the very heavens with sound.

Our little town puts on a very respectable show every year and last night's was no exception. Local story has it that the Zambelli company, the DC fireworks people, also do ours. I don't really know, but it is quite a nice show for such a little burb.

The boys and Lew are off again tonight for more fireworks while I've stayed cool inside and amused myself with DC's Capitol Fourth show on the telly.
