Let the games begin...
So, besides visiting, talking, eating and just enjoying one another's company, my sister and I spent a good bit of the week playing games. It's one of our ways of bonding, and something we've been doing since we were children playing our first games of Hangman, Dots, 500 Rummy, Flinch and Scrabble. Lew joined us some, but he had to work, so for the most part, it was just the two of us having fun and making memories.
We learned a new game at the reunion - Mexican Train with dominoes - and promptly picked up a box on the way home. It's a fun game for a few or a crowd, and one I'll be teaching the grandkids next month. Our brother taught us a new card game - Golf - that we liked too, but ultimately we kept returning to one of our favorite old standbys, Upwords. She also enjoys competing against herself with a challenging game of Bookworm on the computer, so she had a few late-night marathons going on there when I couldn't see straight anymore!
We've always been into word games - it's a family trait - and now more than ever, as increasing age plays tricks with our respective memories, exercising those tired ol' brain cells and keeping them nimble is a necessity.

I'm already missing her and our matches - it was great fun, Big E! :-)

So jealous here. I wish I had someone to play games with! Love, love, love word games, too. Sounds like you had a wonderful time, just as it should be!
