Photo Hunt #12 - Architecture
Historical Frederick, MD has a multitude of varied architectural styles.
The Coca Cola Bottling Plant, still in operation, was built in the 1940's.

Of the many Victorian-style homes in the area, the unique turret
and chimney construction of this one caught my attention

Really great selection of photographs, I really enjoyed viewing them.
:-)
Like the coke bottle on the building - it's one of the first things I noticed. Great selection - so many beautiful things surrounding us!
The modern, flat, reflective skyscrapers and other office buildings just don't have the same detail and character of the old places. In Roanoke, VA there is an old Dr. Pepper bottling company with the large clock and 10, 2, & 4 on it. Also a coffee company, I think, with a large coffee pot pouring the brew into a cup. The pot is an old percolator version.
Very nice. Mine is up too.
Love the Coke building :D
Have a great weekend!
After looking at those pictures, I think I'd love to take a drive around Fredericksburg! Thanks for sharing!
Beautiful old buildings
when i 1st came here in US, i keep taking pics of things like those...i just love the design!
what great photos of places right where you are -- no need to go afar to see wonderful architecture. Thanks for stopping by too.

Great photos. :) All wonderful examples of architecture. The turrets on the two homes are very cool!
Nice choices, I like the details on the bank building. I love turrets....I tell my hubby I want a castle so I can have turrets of my own!! ;)
Happy Saturday! Oh, good song!!
An awesome collection of photos, I had one of a lion's head that were lined all around an old building in downtown Toledo.
Great pictures.

Happy Hunting
You've really done some studying on the subject! An interesting collection of photos... I think the chimney (the third photo) spoiled the victorian house :(
Those are great structures. I love the details on that old bank. The coke building is really cool. Thanks for sharing.
What a cool selection of pix!
Thanks for stopping by mine :)
I love buildings with a sense of history! When we went up to New England last time, we went looking for the marshmallow fluff factory that my father-in-law use to live by.

PS It may be different in MD but in NC, this is our last week for cookie booths. I am headed out to do our last one in an hour.
It's no secret I'm a Coca-Cola fan, so would say the first shot is my favorite. :-) They're all great, though!
And an aside--I'm in south-central TX, and our cookie boths were done in February. But I still have a case of Tagalongs!
I'm surfing late in the day. Wonderful pictures!
After visiting so many Photo Hunters today, it makes you realize how many brilliant architects there have been and still are in this world! Fabulous buildings you showed us today!!
Wow, you don't see too many places built with brick anymore. I bet it took forever to construct those buildings!
Great photos. Old buildings with grand style. Happy weekend.
those are great pics!!! buffalo has a lot of amazing architecture, too. when i go somewhere that's lacking it, it takes me a while to realize why it looks so funny, but then that lightbulb clicks!!
Speaking of bricks, I chose a bank building in Key West, FL. Nice to see my home state though, I was born on Fort Meade.
This is a great collection of architecture. Good job on The Hunt.
