Theme for March 10, 2007 - Architecture
Historical Frederick, MD has a multitude of varied architectural styles. The Coca Cola Bottling Plant, still in operation, was built in the 1940's.
You can see the siren atop this tower structure
on the Junior Fire Co. fire station.
Of the many Victorian-style homes in the area, the unique turret
and chimney construction of this one caught my attention
The detailed peak and 5 different shingle styles
used to cover the turret are interesting
This old bank building in the heart of downtown
is covered in architectural detail
