And still they came, two by two... in this case, only one...

Ewwwwww, charming! Just what we need, more critters. Not enough that the field mice head for the warm confines of our garage when the weather starts chilling. Not enough that the moles munch on my plant roots, rendering them sicker than sick and deader than dead. Not enough that a family of groundhogs have taken up residence along the back fence, digging tunnels and holes big enough to house a zoo, AND chomping away on the corners of the shed for shits and grins. Oh no, no, no -- not enough.

Now we have a possum wanting to lay claim to the garage too. With all our purging and opening/closing of the garage door, apparently the beady-eyed, ratty-looking little beast moseyed on in and spent the night. Without an invite even! Lew chased it out last night after he found it rummaging in the recycle bin -- trying to scarf up the last drop from an empty milk carton. Ga-rosss!! Without so much as a howdy-do, thanks for your hospitality, the miserable beast also left its calling card... a distinct, odiforous reminder of its visit that citrus airspray is doing precious little to diminish.

Wild critters belong OUTSIDE, thank you very much, not INSIDE with the rest of us civilized domestics.

I'm a city girl! How did I end up out in the sticks with all these stinkin' critters??

Ewww, possums are freaky looking creatures! I don't feel so bad about the stray cat living under my house now. ;)
